An Illustrated Advent for Families: Devotions and Family Activities

December is busy. We can all agree about that, right?

It’s also a time of the year that families are often trying to find ways to meaningfully talk about Christmas and the birth of Christ. But many parents often feel under-resourced and under-qualified to put together activities that their families can do together.

December is also a very busy time for pastors, Christian educators, children’s ministry staff…really, anyone who works at a church. Pastors often look through a variety of Advent resources for families, but never quite find something that seems right for their church. And it’s too busy of a season to sit down and come up with your own Advent resource.

**That’s why we created An Illustrated Advent for Families.**

We want to be able to resource and support families, as well as provide a theologically-rich resource for churches to feel comfortable sending home with their children and families.

An Illustrated Advent for Families is our illustrated faith resource to help families find creative ways to meaningfully engage with faith in the season of Advent. Each year, we create a new edition of An Illustrated Advent for Families, and it generally includes devotions, coloring pages, an Advent calendar, and another creative activity for a family to do together (previous editions have included “Flat Wisemen,” a Build-a-Nativity craft, and a paper Advent wreath and candles activity).
